Dr. Terry Ezell took a slightly different route into the medical profession: After graduating from Baptist College at Charleston (now Charleston Southern University), he worked for five years as a sales representative for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals in Nashville, Tennessee. "I got to meet a lot of physicians in various specialties, including urology," he says. "The longer I was in pharmaceutical sales, the more I decided that I wanted to be on the other side of the desk."
Dr. Ezell went on to study at the Medical University of South Carolina. He then completed his internship and residency at the Medical College of Georgia and began practicing at Carolina Urology Center in 1995. He provides care and related surgical procedures, including nerve-sparing prostate surgery, for many of the prostate cancer cases at the practice.
Dr. Ezell is actively involved at First Baptist Church in Rock Hill, where he is a deacon. He is also a competitive amateur golfer and has twice won the Amateur Championship of the Carolinas.
